During her tenure with CHANEL, she worked on the worldwide CHANEL No.5 Fragrance Campaign release featuring Academy Award Winning actress, Nicole Kidman, and she was a vital part of the Sales & Promotion and the Research & Development departments of CHANEL. Her feedback was essential in the continuity of new products and skincare. What she, and the countless opinions of the women she worked with, mattered. As a CHANEL National Makeup Artist, she traveled the United States and abroad making personal appearances where she was consistently welcomed by a dedicated following of women; it was her CHANEL professional pinnacle, and she definitely made an impact in the world of beauty.

In 2006 Monica settled in the mountains of Northern New Mexico and left her position with CHANEL, and in October of 2007, she married the "scientist of her dreams." After turning her passion into a savvy business (Makeup Santa Fe), she has earned the reputation as the premier Makeup Artist in New Mexico. She continues to donate her time and makeup talents to the "Look Good Feel Better" program which is funded in part by the New Mexico chapter of the American Cancer Society. There, she helps instruct women coping with the burdening effects of cancer through paramedical makeup techniques and proper skincare. She considers it her privilege to work with women who seek her assistance. This holds true to her personal and professional motto, "Everyone I touch should look and feel beautiful."
